Today was a perfect day for a pirate party. To end our week of learning, we pretended we were Pirates for the letter Pp! We read the book "How I Became a Pirate" about a little boy that was excited to join the pirates until he discovered all of the things the pirates don't do, like getting bedtimes stories read to them or having their parents tuck them in at night. We also decided it was fun to be pirates for a day, but we really would not like the life of a pirate!
First we became pirates!

We created our map to look like a real treasure map.
Then we colored and drew and rolled it just right!
Wow what smart pirates!
Finally we went in search of buried treasure.........
Our map took us all around the school......
....until we found GOLD!
.....and buried treasure!
"Shiver me Timbers!" Learning in Kindergarten is so fun!
I cant wait to see my lil pirate and for him to tell me about his day i know hes gunna have a lot to tell us
