We are learning about consonant blends this week. Consonant blends
are when two letters put together create one sound. Some common blends are bl, br,cl, cr, fl, gl, pl, sc, sl, sn,
sp, and st. We are learning consonant blends to help us become better readers.
On Monday we had fun with the consonant blend st. We brainstormed words that began with st ,
had a “stare down” with our friends.......
and also created a stop sign on which we
wrote st - words.
Our most exciting activity this week will be
our Stupendous Store!
On
Friday, we will be having a Stupendous Store for the consonant blend “st “ Children will be earning “money”
to spend in our store on Friday! We are asking
for each child to bring at least one item for our store. Good store items would be anything that your
child has that they are willing to give away…(like having a garage sale!). Extra Happy Meal toys, old books, stuffed
animals, anything…would make good items for our store! Children may bring more that one item if they
would like! Children may bring these all
week!
We Cant Wait to Shop in our Store!
