Be on the Look Out!

Be on the lookout for your child's weekly newsletter that will come home each Friday!  The newsletter will let you know what we are doing each week in math, reading and unit (social studies/science). If your child's newsletter has a happy face on it, this means your child was on green all week!  Hooray for great behavior!

Also, be on the lookout for  homework folders!  Your child will be bringing a plastic colored  homework folder home on Tuesday,Sept. 4! Please help your child with his homework each night to reinforce skills taught in class and to promote good study habits.

Monkey Artists at Work!

We have had lots of  "Monkey Fun" this week as we established our classroom rules, routines and expectations! Listening, following directions, walking in the building and being nice to others are all "good monkey" traits!

Monkey Fun!

Curious George has helped us learn about our classroom!  We read a story about Naughty Monkeys and talked about why rules are so important.  We sang about Monkeys and Alligators and even discovered that we have "Monkey Magic"!  You can even find the "Monkey Train" going down the hall as we go to recess or to the cafeteria. We love MONKEYS!

We love to sing and dance!

The Tooty Ta is a fun dance that makes us laugh and giggle.  The children have to listen and follow directions as they sing and dance!

We begin the day with singing!

We begin each day with the song "Rise and Shine"!  We love singing and dancing to get the morning started!

Curious George is ready and waiting!

Curious George is ready to welcome his new group of friends to our class!  We have lots of "monkey fun" the first week of school as the children learn about their new environment in a fun, exciting way!

                                   Mrs. Daily is ready, too!

I added a "jungle spot" to the classroom for a fun reading/writing center!  Hope to encourage lots of interest in reading and writing here :)

LEARN! PLAY! EXPLORE!

We have all been working hard to ready our school for our new group of students! Our theme: Learn, Play, Explore is displayed throughout our school to show unity and our goal!  The halls are ready to welcome our new students!
